Dubrovnik aristocrats built their summer residences and villas in the Rijeka
Dubrovačka bay during the Renaissance period. In the entire area there were
numerous villas of nobility, unique by their functionality and space
organization. In the second half of the 16th century the Sorkočević family
built its summer residence with a spacious garden in a carefully chosen spot in
Komolac, a small, quiet place on the south coast of the bay Rijeka Dubrovačka.
Historically important Sorkočević summer residence complex, which is a protected
category-one historic and cultural monument, is situated within the ACI Marina
Dubrovnik.
The mansion of Petar Sorkocevic from 16th century, with Renaissance
arcades on the ground floor and Gothic monofore and trifore (single and
triple lancet windows) on the first floor, dominates the small bay in
Komolac where ACI marina Dubrovnik is situated. The large garden
comprises a pond, a chapel and a large terrace.

Sorkočević summer residence
Located at the mouth of a river Ombla,
