Few things stand out about the Prestige 42 layout: the huge interior
volume, decent cockpit that opens into the saloon, the extended
flybridge with sunpad - and you have a cruiser tailor-made for hanging
out. The indoor and outdoor helms turn the Prestige 42 into a genuine
all-season, all-weather cruiser.

The outdoor entertaining and lounging areas make the Prestige 42 rather
tempting. You can’t ignore the huge extended boarding platform, which
adds considerably to the waterfront real estate, with customary swim
ladder and hot/cold shower. The bi-slide door back into the saloon lets
you integrate the indoor and outdoor areas, assisting with serving food
and entertaining in general. The cockpit is similarly generous, with
room for a lunch setting for four to six, teak flooring and a built-in
aft lounge for three. There are moulded steps to the safe walkaround
decks leading forward and high bowrail so that kids and crews can move
forward with ease on this boat.

While 3-cabin versions were previously only available on yachts of 46 feet
and up, this version has been specially designed to meet the needs of a
variety of customers, particularly families with children, who seek
additional berths on a yacht of this size.
The new 3-cabin version of the Prestige 42 Fly includes a luxurious forward
owner’s cabin, a guest cabin and a very light and airy third cabin with two
bunk beds and a hanging locker. The extraordinary comfort of the Prestige 42
is owing to the “Wide Body” design concept, which offers an uncommon
interior volume in the cabins, heads and galley. The master cabin in the bow
was graced with a welcoming island double bed and abundant head room. At
first glance the guest’s cabin appears to have twin single beds, that it
does, but with a simple push and shove the outer bed sidles up with the
inner bed and, voila, a double, quick as that. Rich materials, impeccable
details and high-quality woodwork combine to create a beautifully luxurious
interior, enhanced by profuse ambient light.
